"Sora no Kioku" (Memory of the Sky), a song performed within the app "Augmented Reality Girls Trinary", has been released as a new imported CD from a different world by FreyMENOW. Kagura sang this song at the end of the story, and it was released officially later. (She says it is a love song for the player.) Same as her previous CD "Wishreal & phobia", it is accompanied by a storybook written by herself. The story is about a girl living in a high tower. She is taken by some strange existence, and they travel on a train looking like "Milky Way Train" (appears in Japanese classic children's story written by Kenji Miyazawa).
Not knowing inside the girl's mind, Tarna continued to whisper gently.
"Can you show me your hand?"
The girl stretched out her left hand with fear and confusion to answer the words.
Then Tarna put a pure silver ring on the girl's finger, which was very well suited for her delicate clear skinned white fingers.
"This is a proof of our ties between only two of us, Tarna and you."
In the story, the stranger = Tarna gives the girl a pure silver ring. Since I just happened to buy a DIY kit for silver clay accessory before, I thought I had to make this ring when I read the paragraph.

This is what I used. Art Clay Silver Starter Kit (by Aida Chemical Industries Co.,Ltd.) It contains all tools you need, so you can start craft right away. I bought it at Yuzawaya internet shop for about 5300 yen. The official site is here. (English) |
Here's how-to. First, decide size of the ring with a ring scale, rap a wooden rod with a post-it and mark for the size of your ring. Shape silver clay into a thread form, then tie it around the rod on the mark. Connect both sides of the thread clay and shape the ring so that thickness would be even at the certain point. (I forgot to take photo at this time, so this photo is re-creation after I dried the clay.)
orz(やすりで削った粉も再利用できるので、粉を集めやすいクッキングペーパーを下に敷いてやると便利です。)
After drying the clay with a dryer, shape the ring with a file. Silver clay becomes like plaster after drying. Straighten the height and equalize the thickness. I carved a mark of ginkgo on surface and Kagura's name inside with a burnishing spatula. At this time, I should have smooth the surface of the ring more, but somehow I thought I could finish it later, then trace of filing remained after all...It's a mistake of great regret! orz (You can reuse powder of the clay after you file, so it would be useful if you work on parchment paper which you can easily collect powder.)
After forming the shape, fire the ring on a gas cooker. I was worried if it worked as expected because gas cooker in my house had auto temperature control. Luckily, firing was well done even though the fire became smaller after this. I had to keep eyes on it, so I was sweating all over. Silver clay turns into pure silver (99.9% purity) after firing.
Cool down the ring by soaking it in water. The ring gets shrunk one size smaller. Finish it using a stainless brush and sponge files. Then polish it with a polishing cloth at last. There was a bottle of oxidize liquid in the kit (to change color of accessory into black), but I didn't use this time.
Manual in the kit is quite easy and detailed well (even DVD is included); I could understand smoothly although it was my first time. Silver clay can be easily handled just as same as regular clay. It is also good that all tools are included in the kit. I bought only parchment paper and wet tissues in addition. I recommend! However, silver clay itself is kind of expensive, so I can't use it so often. (10 grams of silver clay is included in the Starter Kit; extra silver clay I bought later was 3800 yen for 20 grams.)
I've been an otaku for ages now, but it is my first time to create such object as a fan work. Since I'm not a professional, poor work can be seen here and there, but it's fun that things I like become a chance to start new creative works (maybe because my major used to be art once). I want to make some more accessories, so I'll challenge again soon.
